    Default 2016 Summit League Recruiting

    Big recruiting weekend for the 'Yotes in women's basketball, including the previously mentioned McKeever.

    Dom Izzo
    @DomIzzoWDAY

    Win-E-Mac standout Madison McKeever, who's scored over 2,000 pts and has a state title, has verballed to South Dakota.
    Also for South Dakota this weekend are 2016 verbals from Taylor Frederick - 6' 1" - Harlan Iowa
    and 6' 1" LaShayla Wright - Bloomington Kennedy

    Five State Hoops
    @FiveStateHoops

    With additions of two of our Top 12 Regional players in @tayfred52 & @LaBaller10 via verbal,
    @SDCoyotesWBB 2016 Class looking very strong.
    NDSU has a 2016 verbal from 5' 10" Tyrah Spencer of Bloomington Kennedy..... 2 D1 recruits so far from 1 high school squad,
    must be an interesting team to watch.
    Sure hope Madison McKeever and Sarah Jacobson weren't a package deal in recruiting.....

    Do you know the reason they switched from NT to Fury? They're the only two players on the 2016 team to be in their first year with Fury. I know Jacobson has been ranked higher than McKeever in one or two rankings, but I tracked down the summer stats and it looks like McKeever had the much better summer.

    SDSU can do some more recruiting, losing 2 bench players to transfer
    6' 10" Conner Devine - 2.6 ppg, 1.6 rpg (graduate transfer)
    6' 8" Logan Doyle - Soph - .8 ppg, 1.2 rpg (only 7 games) (from Alexandria MN)

    And for those who enjoyed cheering for
    former Jackrabbit Cody Larson, his younger sister Tagyn is transferring back
    in-state to SDSU from Iowa. She is 6' 2" and will have 3 years of eligibility.

    Tonia Wade will be eligible though who was top 100 recruit who transferred from St. Johns and sat out this year. There will be at least 4 top 100 recruits playing for the Jacks in 2017-2018.

    The mens team on the other hand need to find some bodies to go along with Daum, Theisen, and Telly! Basically loosing 5 players who played meaningful minutes (7 players total).

    Jacks going to need to replace a lot of outside shooting.
