    This is his 3rd year in the NFL? I don't follow contracts real close, but after year 3 is when they can start signing bigger, longer term contracts right? If so, this would be the year that Marcus and Billy need to show up and finish strong to make some real $$$ next year?

    One would hope that isn't the motivating factor, but I spose it's part of the equation unfortunately.

    Billy has another year in his deal and Marcus will be a restrictive free agent. Really both have another year of being under the rookie restrictive clauses of the CBA.

    Teams will start getting rookies that are massively out performing their contracts signed to long term deals at year 3. Mainly to make sure they don't lose them if they make them play out all fours under their rookie deal.

    I'd be a little surprised to see Marcus get extended this off season. Billy just needs to focus on earning keeping a roster spot.
