I still think Heismeyer ends up here at some point at the TE position. Jabril Cox would be the most recent guy.
I also want the MHD guys in Bison colors.

I was doing a quick scan over their roster last night and the one glaring thing that stood out to me was their lack of players over 300 LBS. I counted 7 Hawkeye players 300 LBS and over, while NDSU currently has 11.
For more equal comparison, here's how many players that are 300 LBS and over for the other Big 10 teams:
Illinois - 16 players
Indiana - 15 players
Maryland - 20 players
Michigan - 8 players
Michigan State - 14 players
Minnesota - 11 players
Nebraska - 14 players
Northwestern - 10 players
Ohio State - 18 players
Penn State - 15 players
Purdue - 11 players (including one weighing 420 LBS)
Rutgers - 8 players
Wisconsin - 17 players
For more comparison, here's how many some of the best P5 schools have players 300 LBS and over:
Alabama - 18 players
Baylor - 17 players (including one weighting 410 LBS)
Clemson - 13 players
Florida - 17 players
Florida State - 19 players
Notre Dame - 22 players
Oklahoma - 16 players
Oklahoma State - 15 players
Oregon - 11 players
Stanford - 6 players
Finally, here's the number of players 300 LBS and over for the best FCS schools:
Charleston Southern - 1 player
Chattanooga - 8 players
Coastal Carolina - 6 players
Illinois State - 3 players
Jacksonville State - 11 players
James Madison - 5 players
McNeese State - 4 players
Montana - 4 players
Northern Iowa - 6 players
Portland State - 6 players
Richmond - 4 players
Sam Houston State - 8 players
South Dakota State - 4 players
Southern Utah - 7 players
Western Illinois - 8 players
William & Mary - 10 players
While I cannot directly correlate team success with the number of players 300 LBS and over, I can conclude that NDSU matches up size-wise fairly well with the most successful programs in FBS when comparing lineman.
Hail the BISON!!!
Good luck to Shaun. We'll be fine at TE.
If you wore the uniform...you're a champion.
Good research and interesting numbers. Over the summer I compared us to two P5 conferences with o-line size and found that NDSU would have been one of the largest in Pac-12 (top 3 if I recall correctly) and in the top half of B10 lines as well. That fact would give me more confidence in regards to Iowa if the Hawkeyes were not kicking bigger lines butts. It will be a very interesting matchup.
Edit: height and weight were factored into the comparison I put together but I only looked at projected starters

Join the Green and the Gold Collective to take Bison football to the next level. Starts at $10 a month
The Green and The Gold Collective is excited to announce our #DriveToFive membership campaign. The goal of this campaign is to get to 500 monthly members. Reaching this goal will help us provide financial support to NDSU student athletes, including every returning member of the football team that saw action on the field last year!

He has every right to take whatever offer he gets. He's not going to be a Bison so I couldnt care less now.
Shaun who? Once a B.....oh never mind.
Just would love to read this kids mind when he watches the Bison beat the Fhawkeyes next September.............
I doubt he'll regret his decision one iota.
Would you hold it against a kid from say Casselton who verbally committed to UM-Duluth but jumped at an NDSU offer made later in the recruiting process, essentially eschewing his UMD commitment? It's basically the same situation we have here with Beyer.
