I'm at work and have been busy enough where this is the first I could check on the game. Was this double a fluke one where the batter advanced because the throw in was to ensure the lead runner wouldn't score? Otherwise in that situation, a solid double should have at least had the chance of a play at the plate.

I am so sick of the Bison already. Win this, win that, blah, blah, blah. I'd really, really like to know how they do it. I swear they have to be the luckiest sob's on the planet. Just sick of this bs, just fed up.

3rd base coach held the runner at 3rd as the double was hit on a rope to LF and the CCU guy played it off the wall perfectly. It would have been a close play at home but coach made the right call. You don't want to lose the game getting thrown out at home.

I'm not a great baseball strategy mind, but is that really the prevailing wisdom? Regardless of where this specific ball was hit, I would think that in this type of situation you'd rather end the game at home.

The next batter is going to end the game well over 50% of the time (60% of the time in the case of this specific last batter), so why leave the tying run standing on 3rd if he has better than a 50% (40%) chance of scoring?

I get that it's a judgement call for the 3rd base coach, but I'd rather err on the side of aggression here.
Some say it's a backward place. Narrow minds on a narrow way, but I make it a point to say. That that's where I come from.
