I heard they come from the Minneapolis Auditorium, former home of the Lakers. I've also heard Met Center, but that still had its seats in 1993 and was torn down in 1994. Could just be urban legend.
If my memory serves they DO look a lot like the Met Center seats though, which were reupholstered in burgundy at some point.

In any case I'm pretty sure they're like 50 years old or more and it would be easily justifiable to replace them. The blue seats are in good shape still though.
Those red chairs have prevented my best friend's dad from moving his seats for years. He has been offered several times but loves the cushioned seats.
¯\_(ツ)_/¯
We need to wear green when on defense and gold on offense. Everyone up for the kick off, the color change is on! Flip your shirts dammit!

Alexandria high School football team went to the section championship game in 2001 at the Dome, where they absolutely bludgeoned the Bemidji....
Point is- I was in 3rd grade and we sat on the red chairs and my entire family was making comments about how disgusting those seats are haha..
I was 8 and I knew those things needed to be replaced... and that was 16 years ago

2. As a general rule- the FCS sucks at football and has proven that is not committed to football at all.
