Jay Flaa having a better 2nd half of the season, in his last 10 appearances has a 3-1 record with a 1.62 ERA, 16.2 IP, 9 H, 6 BB, 29 SO
Now at 4-3, 3.53 ERA on the season. Looks like much better chances of being in a AA bullpen next season. And if he is lucky, Baltimore can use an extra bullpen guy in the Arizona Fall League.
29 strikeouts in 16.2 innings - wow

Pitched in the Arizona Fall League after the regular season at AAA.Pitching for the Bowie, Md., Baysox in the Class AA Eastern League last summer, he had a 3-1 record with two saves. He surrendered 35 hits and 27 runs, 20 earned, in 65 innings, walking 28 and striking out 67. That works out to a 2.77 ERA and a 0.97 whip. Opposing batters hit just .155 against him.
Saw Jay Flaa’s name in the Twins’ box score this morning, pitching the 9th (no hits no runs) in Baltimore’s 8-7 spring training loss to Minnesota. Flaa is 26 now and currently not on the Orioles 40 man roster, so looks to be a long-shot to make the team. Hope he has a good season because, as lousy as Baltimore will be, there will be opportunities. If they have anyone worth trading they would be natural sellers before the trade deadline, so that would also bring opportunities.
Jay off to a solid start after 5 games pitched at AAA Norfolk. 0-1 Record, 1.86 ERA, 0.72 WHIP, 1 SV, 4 Walks, 8K's in 9.2 innings thus far. Keep up the good work young man!
