I really am interested to see how many FCS schools go all out in this. I could see UND doing it for just football and hockey because the admin are a bunch of morons.

I heard from a friend of a friend of a friend who's father used to work with the friend of a UND hockey player's sister, that the hockey players were all taking their sticks and going home if they didn't get COA and they didn't get to keep "no nickname".

Not sure if it's real or not, but it's interesting! And I thought I'd make myself look really smart and in-the-know if I posted it here. Mission accomplished.

What I really like about this is how it will benefit partials. If we're running low on scholarship money and can only offer a kid a half scholarship, this will make a difference filling the gap, especially for Minnesota kids getting the reciprocity rates. You take a North Dakota kid and it makes the money go even further. Could ultimately make us a deeper team.

If an athlete gets a half scholarship, they would also get half of the COA.

No surprise here. Also no surprise that UND hasn't decided yet. The COa committee will begin meeting after we're done in the football playoffs.

Whoa whoa whooooaaaaa there Tex. No need to move that fast, better get a task force to recommend a process for that first. Make sure you get the right consultant and keep them an extra day for $15k, and that this gets paid for out of the taxpayer provided general fund.

If it's worth doing, it's worth doing in a consistent manner.
