Default University of Jamestown $50M capital campaign w/ 2,200 seat arena/training facility

Pretty interesting...I have a feeling my alma mater might not have much of a problem raising the funds either.

I'd say more like the NSIC...If Crookston can be DII, UJ surely can too.

Not so much. UJ fits the profile of a MIAC more so than NSIC...non starter convo anyway since UJ is in ND. St. Thomas is the outlier in the MIAC, but they have nowhere to go.

Auggie and Sioux Falls are not much bigger than Jamestown...I stil think the NISC is a good fit.

Meh...agree to disagree. Jamestown is a 1k enrollment private Presbyterian school that belongs in DIII...they have a lot more in common with Concordia, St. Johns, and St. Olaf than they do Minot St., Crookston, St. Cloud St....etc...maybe even less in common with Mayville St. and Valley City St.

Presentation was DIII in the UMAC, their coaches all told their AD that the North Star was a better place to be because kids understood what NAIA was and often confused DIII with DII and were concerned with why they weren't getting scholarship money.

If UJ would move to the NCAA, they would be hard pressed to get athletes to go there if they were DIII. I find it hard to believe they would want to give up the ability to offer scholarships. Zero chance the MIAC would take them, which would leave the UMAC as the only option. Their best fit if they were to move to the NCAA would be the NSIC.

UMAC would suck for travel...ask anyone who played for Presentation in before 3 years ago. I played in the UMAC in 98-01 and our travel sucked and I was in the cities...we had to play schools in Illinois and middle of nowhere WI, and a stupid trip to Trinity Bible. All by bus.
