If we concentrated on the really important stuff in life, there'd be a shortage of fishing poles"
When you play football, you gotta like the taste of blood, And 50 percent of the time, it's your blood.
It is characteristic of the unlearned that they are forever proposing something which is old, and because it has recently come to their own attention, supposing it to be new.

Seems like Big Ten teams offer right after we offer. If I was coach K , I would do a little reverse psychology and start offering the worst players ever. I'm talking backup qb in the Longest Yard. Purdue and Nebraska would probably offer him.

Join the Green and the Gold Collective to take Bison football to the next level. Starts at $10 a month
The Green and The Gold Collective is excited to announce our #DriveToFive membership campaign. The goal of this campaign is to get to 500 monthly members. Reaching this goal will help us provide financial support to NDSU student athletes, including every returning member of the football team that saw action on the field last year!

I have been wondering for some time about the very thing that Herdbot mentioned and maybe someone knows the answer to this: How closely are P5 programs watching our recruiting and do schools take a more intensive look at recruits if they get an NDSU offer?
The young in this country do not know enough to be prudent,
and therefore they attempt the impossible - and achieve it generation after generation - Pearl S. Buck
I don't buy that. Not all schools are equal in this area. If a program is top notch at finding the overlooked guys then why wouldn't other schools check more into some of those guys. Obviously I'm not talking about anyone basing a class off of spying on others work, but I would think it gets taken into account.
How is the team for punter/kickoff next year? Any potential offers there?
North Star FN reporting that Nick Kramer (6' 4" 220 - DE/LB - Wayzata HS)
has been offered a PWO from Minnesota. He also is a 2016 NDSU interest.
Kramer has current offers from Northern Iowa and South Dakota.
Hmmm, if this were to be a really lucky day, this would help the Bison keep
current verbal commit Ko Kieft and at the same time hurt UNI recruiting in Minnesota.
Minnesota also just switched positions on a current TE to DE and he is about the same size as Kieft.
I have a hard time believing that a team would stray off their own current big board during a recruiting season by looking\spying on others.
But on the flip side, I know when Glen Mason was coaching Minnesota, he said that they had a review process in place. It wasn't for the current season, but they would look back 2-4 years and review how their evaluation process worked for the Minnesota and other local kids. Why did we take this kid over this kid who was in our own backyard. What did our evaluations show? He used Craig Dahl as an example.
Like any good CEO, always have to be looking to make improvements and be willing to change processes as needed. But I agree, if you are looking at another teams big board during the current season, you probably are in the wrong business.
