Once in the playoffs anything can happen.
We’ve seen it with 14 National championships and 6/7, doorstep of 7/8.
    Multiple conf championships.
We’ve seen it repeatedly going 9-3 against fbs with p5 wins.

Why would it be any different at the next level?
These are my thoughts exactly. Listen I know all about the money aspect of it and think they if we were to make that jump I’m confident NDSU could do it in smart manor. When will that be is the question. A lot of people see these low level bowl games and think that’s where NDSU would be but I know the football team would strive for perfection and prove everyone wrong. We’ve done it at 2 separate divisions, why not make it so in the 3rd and highest division?

Because it would be. Just looking at the way they conduct business now. Its not a level playing field. Im not interested in playing against a stacked deck considering what NDSU would have to do and pay for the supposed great opportunity of which will be almost non existent..

You dont bet the future of a great program on the come and fluff of what weve done in the past.

You dont get it. Im not worried about the schollie difference. Im also very well aware how we have done against the FBS because Ive been to most of them.
FYI there is way more involved to a FBS move than how well your football team is doing. Do some research on Nebraska and Penn State on why andhow they got in to the Big Ten.

Im opposed to the way the bigs conduct business to keep everyone else out of their playoff. The NCAA has given them autonomy. The NCAA doesnt even run the championship. The bowl system has and always be about the money and big bowls are all run by the old boys club.

NDSU is all about Opportunity. We tell our athletes you have a chance to compete for championships. Trying to make a move under these circumstances would be nothing more than a lie to our players. Not that they couldnt compete but because they wont be given the opportunity.

Remember this is all about the school and the kids. Not fans getting a boner over who we play.

Also, do u need to be in the MAC or MWC to be a stepping stone of a B10 B12?.... IDK

I know this.....f they G5 ever decided to do a true FCS style playoff it would be a hell of a lot of fun.
It would have to be a large playoff field, with auto bids in all the conferences. Otherwise you'll see the 5th place Big Ten team get in over a Mountain West, Sunbelt, or MAC Champion. It would have to be a large field too because the power 5 will simply not play the G5 to kill their strength of schedule

The fans opinion of our D2 history has no bearing on the subject of NDSUs opportunity in the FBS playoffs.
