Last weekend the baseball team played four games against Northern Colorado in Greeley. Results are:

Fri 3/6 Lost 10-11
Sat 3/7 Won 4-2
Sat 3/7 Won 13-11
Sun 3/8 Won 8-3

This weekend is the start of the Summit League season with three games against Oral Roberts in Tulsa:

Fri 3/13 6:30pm - cancelled
Sat 3/14 2:00pm (double header) L 0-6, W 4-3
Sun 3/15 1:00pm L 3-4

Bison split with ORU....

0-6 and 4-3

Bison split today's doubleheader, losing game one 0-6 and winning game two 4-3.

hopefully Trewin leaving game two in the 4th was because he was on a pitch count and not due to injury. he's by far the best starting pitcher on the staff.

To my knowledge no word on Trewin's status. He did leave the game with an arm issue. Have to hope it is not serious and that he will return at some point.

The Bison won 1 game of the 3 game set VS ORU.
Offense was lead by Ben Peterson going 4 -10, Drew Fearing 2-10, Paul Funk 2-12. No other Bison batter had more than 1 hit. As a team the Bison struck out 35 times had 6 walks.
The defense averaged 2 errors per game.
lot's of improvement needed if this group is to repeat as Summit League Champions. On the bright side at least they won one game.

agreed. missed on a couple that have gone on to play at JUCOs and then D1 schools, or end up at D2/D3/NAIA and have phenomenal careers.

drop series opener with Omaha 14-20. Offense showed up, pitching not so much.

Bison get swept in the series, game one 20-14, game two 11-6, game three 12-7.

Bison commit 12 errors. It has to start with some defense, let hope the guys who play the "D" show up soon.

On the bright side we have little worry about peaking too early!!

After loosing 6 conference games in a row it took a couple of ND kids playing significant roles to get win over ORU. Those being critical of lack of ND talent on the roster may have valid point.
