    I think that is a wood pecker. In fact, it is the species Pompaus obnoxicaium. It would be an excellent mascot. If adopted, it would mean that they would be known as the University of North Dakota Peckers.

    I thought it was settled????..... the Swallows! I also thought we were putting the color after the bird......swallows cream.
