What is the dollar goal for the locker room remodel? Maybe I missed it. It did not say on the letter I got. A long range donation plan for building, remodeling, fcoa, schollies and other things would be nice to see. Easier for people to decide to give x dollars over y years vs asking for each project.

My boss hates it when I shorten his name to Dick, mainly because his name is Steven.

I thought the same thing. At the very least, a goal for this project should have been included in the letter.

Plus if you donate in one of the 4 groups specified, you will be recognized. But there is no indication of what the recognition will be unless you are a former player. There were a lot of things missing from the letter and makes want to know a lot more than just the dollar goal.

They should come up with the dollar amount. How many lockers are there? I know the roster is 85, so is it 85 lockers? If the dollar amount is $1M, then the first 85 donors at $12k each have a locker inscription. This Locker donated by TD577. Or something like that. Don't exclude anyone who is willing to cough up some cash.

If they want people engaged, then inform them and engage them. The best way to engage them is to start giving them ways to not only see where their money is going, but add a personal means for people to get semi-permanently attached to their contribution. The first thing they should buy is a nameplate engraver and some really good adhesive and invite ownership to everything. You want softball facility upgrades, sell the seats. The seat you are sitting in was donated by the TD Family. Then give the people the first shot at purchasing season tickets for those seats with their name on it. So many ways to get people more directly involved. More than just a letter saying we are raising money, please give.

I would be happy with a picture of what it will look like. Is it for new carpet, new lockers, a raised ceiling, awesome graphics, new electronics, cool lighting?

A general idea of dollars would be nice too.

I would imagine if they want to do an upgrade it will be impressive like the new trophy case or the recently completed players lounge. I bet they could raise a lot of money through smaller donations too.

You guys have brought up some pretty good points. So I forwarded your ideas on to Matt L. Hopefully they will take notice.

If anyone wants to donate to the new locker room project

    1) Go to http://ndsuathleticfund.com
    2) Click "Give Now button
    3) Choose "Football Locker room fund. "

From there it's pretty self explanatory. You can make a donation for any amount so if you don't have hundreds or thousands to donate, it all adds up.

The sooner we can fund this, the sooner we can move on to other projects like the softball stadium and Indoor Practice facility!

Don't think there will be any "raised ceilings" without some major structural changes to the East stands and mezzanine area. That is all structural concrete over and around the room. You can knock out walls to the North and South, maybe move the utilities and get a small raised area in the center.
