How about a home and home with San Diego State. Think of the possibilities...
    Two games against SDSU...
    November game in San Diego...

    Just sayin...

I agree. We already have tough games with EW and Iowa. Give the guys a warm-up game. Those guys play a lot of football every year, and I don't see 2015 any different than this past year. They need a cupcake game mixed in with the FBS and the "signature" FCS non-conference game

I'm thinking a Big Sky team that we haven't played like Idaho State or Sac State.

I had mentioned this before -Sacramento State and Portland state are both having athletic department budget issues.

These could be some teams that NDSU could do guarantee games with from the Big Sky Conference.

Here is a link about the Portland State budget issue university wide:

Here is a link that discusses how the Portland State football team became self sufficient last season:

Also, Eastern Michigan has an open date. I bet they'd go for a paycheck game.

With Iowa (our last FBS game?) and EWU on the schedule, it makes total sense to stick with an "easier" game. Anything else would be borderline stupid, IMO.

As for opponents, we are already playing Montana again this year, and exacting a reckoning on EWU starting next year, and Montana State is obviously ducking us at all costs, so the main players in the Big Sky are spoken for. I think we should keep on running through the Big Sky also-rans and just totally dominate that conference once and for all. After all, why should SHSU be considered the legitimate Big Fluffy champs all to themselves?

Therefore, any Big Sky team we haven't played or don't have scheduled, is just fine with me. "Schedule, dominate, pay for damages, and move on." That's my new mantra.

That would be awesome but I don't see it happening.

    Wouldn't mind Sac or PSU.
