    Default 2015 MVFC Recruiting

Looks like UNI has been busy on the transfer front as well, including a 6' 6" QB.
Dalton Demos, from Hutchinson Community College. Made sense they would try and get
someone who could compete at the QB position right away, and he is already enrolled,
as are 5 more transfers (2 FBS, 3 more JC's).

Dalton Demos, 6’6, 210, QB (St. Louis, Mo./Hutchinson CC)

Prior to UNI: Played football at Hutchinson Community College from 2013-14, leading them to an 11-1 season and a conference championships in 2014 … had a 55.1 completion percentage for 1,120 yards through the air … averaged 101.8 yards per game, throwing 15 touchdowns … was ranked the No. 6 duel-threat quarterback by JCGridiron.com … also played at Coastal Carolina in 2012 was he was part of the Dean’s List.
Only a 102 yd/game avg passing for Demos, but if Hutch was 11-1, whatever their offense is must work, assuming they have a running-oriented scheme.

Northern Iowa's Minnesota pipeline has "slowed" .....
only 2 Minnesotans so far of the 19 listed signees, LB Jesse Cardenas of Lakeville North
and 6' 6" TE Taylor Otterstatter of Mayer Lutheran HS.
UNI is listing Cal Twait at 6' 7" 286 lbs. That is one large human being.

    4. Taryn Christion, QB, SDSU

    5. Chase Vinatieri, K/WR, SDSU

    6. Lorenzo Williams, DB, SDSU

    7. Derrek Tuszka, DE, NDSU

Chicago Tribune article covering the recruiting of Illinois FCS programs. ILL St. got a few studs and Western got a QB. Doesn't say much about SIU.

Wow, the Chicago Bears' Al Harris has a son going to Illinois State. Seems like Al always played well against the Vikes back in the day.

Defensive line recruit Jason Harris was a four-year varsity player at Barrington and Tribune All-State special mention. The son of ex-Bears defensive lineman Al Harris had 72 tackles, 13 sacks and an interception last season.
Also mentioned was Western Illinois, looks like they got another QB prospect, with Veldman switching his verbal from Western Illinois to NDSU.

Western Illinois: Bulldogs coach Bob Nielson announced a 24-member class that includes Jack Beneventi, a 6-6 quarterback originally bound for Iowa before the Hawkeyes pulled the offer late last year.
Beneventi began at Benet Academy where he was ranked among the nation's top quarterbacks in 2012 and '13 while setting a series of school records. He switched to Fenwick as a senior and played most of the season before a late-season slump led to a benching.

Sounded like UNI lost a few of their recruits in the last week or so.

Warning: It is the offseason. Trollolol may or may not be in full swing. Take a deep breath and eat a trolli burger before reading my posts.

When your QB target was benched his senior year, you are not impressing me.

After losing some battles to YSU in Florida, I like seeing that Pelini abandoned ship down there.

Missouri St class is tiny with only 15. They have some transfers?

Good find, interesting information. Coach Lennon doesn't seem to recruit locally as much as Ill. St.
