This is CK setting up the redbirds nicely. Rope-a-dope. Make them think Vraa is a game time decision and then bam!. First offensive play of the game is Vraa over the top for a bomb!

This is not as far off as you might think. There is no great advantage to playing it coy with Vraa but one does exist. The Redbird defense does have to prepare itself differently if 82 can go. If they are preparing as though he will be a part of the festivities and he is not, then they "wasted" that preparation time. If their defensive gameplan is to disregard that position as someone who cannot get open aganst 1 on 1 and Vraa is 90% of his normal self then there will be a mismatch all day long. Belichick does this kind of crap all the time.

If Zach is able to dress and run around a bit, I like that it creates an issue for their defensive gameplan. Maybe he'll be good enough to go out there and make a single catch that will be huge and change the game? I certainly don't expect him to be 100%, but like Herd mentioned, even a 90% Vraa is a pretty good wide receiver.
