He did the same in AAU often from what I'm told. Maybe he didn't get enough touches during the year? That performance could be a career changer for him. If he can do that against Gonzaga bigs why not the Summit League bigs? Oh and he will pass the ball back out. Should be fun to watch next year with a legit inside scoring threat.
I actually agree to a point with elchapo. Yes Werner forced a few, but yes they were dropping, the dude was in the zone. I cringed on a few shots but after he made it was like damn. Werner just didn't care he was going at whoever it didn't matter.

Its the mind set. Some have it and some hide. I'm disappointed in AJ. Thought he could score 15+.

AJ will be just fine, if he tried to score no way Dexter does what he does. Sure they were bigger to Werner but catching it up top and driving basically.

So u thought he would score about 4 points more against Gonzaga's length than what he averaged in the Summit league? Interesting take. Sorry the NDSU freshman disappointed u. I appreciate AJ getting us to that game. He's our next offensive star. Oh, and if Dex is 10-12 points and 7 boards on rotational minutes, we are a good team next year. Proud of what the youngsters proved.
Everyone just relax, all right? Believe me, if there's one thing Ron Burgundy knows, it's women.

Well obviously someone had to go off for us to have a chance and I thought AJ could before Dex. Sorry but 3 points is disappointing and I'll speculate AJ is the most disappointed of all of us. Just one mans opinion there burg.

What dexter showed he can do was awesome. If he puts those numbers up next year, we'll be legit!

I'm not sure how anyone could watch AJ all year, as a starting freshman player, and think he doesn't have the mindset or ability of someone who is going to be an offensive impact player in the league for the next 3 years. And if you missed him all year, just take Scott Sutton's opinion that he's going to be the next big thing in the Summit as is - that guy knows what he's talking about.

Does any one who is disappointed in AJ remember he was guarding a guy that he gave up 5" and 50 lbs too? When you have to defend like that you sacrifice your offense. I thought he played a great game. Distributed the ball played great off the ball defense. I don't know what more you could ask of him.
