I just watched a bunch of SHSU highlight films from the year and I'm sitting here thinking our DL should be able to handle their OL. If especially our D tackles play a great game they shouldn't be able to run much outside of scrambling. Then make them one dimensional and I think it might be a sack fest. Most of the TD's I saw them give up were through the air so it'll be interesting to see if Crock and the Rams can get the running game going.

Also I don't know what was different when they played their D2 game, but they looked completely awful. SHSU has definitely gotten better throughout the year, but I think if we are able to play our game, this should be more like GSU1 than GSU2.

I've noticed their interior O-line has issues with missing assignments in the run game. Brian Schaetz may have more King Kong Bundy moments.

Yet they have 11 wins. TOP isn't a great predicter of wins IMO!

Extending on this thought, TOP is also not a great predictor of wearing down a defense. The Bison typically run the play clock down after run plays and that has a big impact on TOP. The number of plays and how spread out the offense plays are going to be bigger factors in how tired a defense gets, in addition to just playing physical like the bison do.

These thrilling 4th quarter wins have been great and all, but I could really go for a good ol' 2013 style butt whoopin' like we put on, well, everybody last season. That said I suspect our defense learned a lot last week and feels they have something to prove Friday night. Let's see if we can get a couple turnovers and put these Kats to bed.
