    Default 2015 Recruits

I know this is already old news but I just had to give credit to the softball coaching staff for reloading. This has been such a strong program and there is no sign of slowing down. I did a little (very little) online research and was very impressed with Zoe Stavrou. She looks very smooth and it looks like she has a very strong arm as well. KK also looks like she is ready to continue our tradition of powerful pitchers. Both Vanessa Anderson and Julia Luciano appear to be steals when recruiting the midwest. Both hit over .400 in high school and I can't wait to see this class develop into great college players. I'm very excited for this upcoming season. We have a small but very strong senior class and lots of talent behind them. I'm expecting another Summit League championship, an NCAA regional appearance and if we get a good bracket like last year, making the super regionals would be realistic as well. My expectations are high but what the heck...when you're a Bison fan you get to have high expectations with a program like this. Once the schedule is announced please mark your calendars to leave work early on Fridays and if you can't make that be sure to catch the Saturday noon games. Let's get out and support this team...they have earned it!

    2015 Recruits.

VANESSA ANDERSON, 5-8, Third Base, bats right, throws right, Rochester, Minn./Byron HS

KAITLYN "KK" LEDDY, 5-8, Pitcher, bats right, throws right, Middleburg, Fla./Fleming Island HS

JULIA LUCIANO, 5-4, Third Base/Second Base, bats right, throws right, Eagan, Minn./Eastview HS

ZOE STAVROU, 5-4, Shortstop/Second Base, bats right, throws right, Long Beach, Calif./Woodrow Wilson HS

Welcome ladies, look forward to joining the bison family and continue the tradition of bison athletes.

Actually lefty pitcher/OF Morgan Olson is a 2016 recruit, so if Tony wishes, he can switch posts to a new thread.

Dilworth-Glyndon-Felton softball with quite the season!
Chris Murphy article on the game and D-G-F shortstop Megan Meyers.

Meyers has more than proven herself for the Rebels. She's started since eighth grade. In 324 at-bats for her career, she's struck out just eight times, while batting .430. This season she's batting .489 with 23 RBIs and 11 stolen bases.
Meyers and D-G-F have a tall task in front of them, having to face North Dakota State commit Morgan Olson on the mound for top-ranked Zumbrota-Mazeppa in the quarterfinals.
Olson is 18-0 with a 0.917 earned-run average and 173 strikeouts in 113 innings pitched.

Didn't want to start a new thread. Smaller sports should probably just have one "Recruiting" thread.

Olson with a 2 hitter in the semis. I'm not sure if she'll hit for us, but she has 4 hits in the 2 games. Her team plays for the championship tomorrow.

    I have a question

When will the current recruiting cycle be over? And a list of the recruits

Not many roster spots open with only one senior on the team. Not sure if all injured players are returning next year. Incoming class might be pretty small.
