We are now. The foundation has to file reports being a non-profit. Politicians don't have to.

    OK, that's what I thought, I think?

Regarding ND legislators and their personal use of campaign funds, I think Christopher Gaddie's letter to the editor was spot on.

Regarding the performance audits of the University foundations, I think Rick Engebretson's letter to the editor was also spot on.

Hundreds of trustees with voting rights? Da fuq? When you have that many people making decisions, you have nobody making decisions.

Where are things at with hiring someone new to lead the Alumni Association?

I am so sick of the Bison already. Win this, win that, blah, blah, blah. I'd really, really like to know how they do it. I swear they have to be the luckiest sob's on the planet. Just sick of this bs, just fed up.

You probably wouldn't be happy. You'd be able to live with it given that the alternative is lawyering up for a public fight, but I don't know if you'd be happy.

We all live in stories... It seems to me that a definition of any living vibrant society is that you constantly question those stories... The argument itself is freedom. It's not that you come to a conclusion about it. Through that argument you change your mind sometimes... That's how societies grow. When you can't retell for yourself the stories of your life then you live in a prison... Somebody else controls the story. - S. Rushdie
