Why not try it out?
Set aside 100 spots. Charge double price with the ability to park/stay overnight.
I think the teetotalers are as much scared that nothing happens.
Hell. CVS parking lot should do this. Guys would make a fortune.

Friday night parking has been looked at. Tailgating to the north in the business lots has been brought up but is was questioned whether this was an expansion of tailgating. (no I am not kidding) Businesses have to look at liability security etc. Plus where would the normal customers park at those businesses during game day? The ROI?

When you play football, you gotta like the taste of blood, And 50 percent of the time, it's your blood.
It is characteristic of the unlearned that they are forever proposing something which is old, and because it has recently come to their own attention, supposing it to be new.

But don't you think its possible that these people are pounding more drinks than they normally would before the game starts so they can maintain through the game? In my opinion, having access to beer at the dome would likely cut down on the binge drinking before hand and I bet these people wouldn't be as sloppy drunk. But of course, there is only one way to find out...

People who can't limit themselves in the tailgate lot, more than likely can't handle themselves in the dome. I would just as soon enhance tailgating: allow parking of buses and trailers the night before, expand the lots, and allow some to stay out and watch the game. Invest your extra staff money there.
And apparently the people who started this whole thing, the suite people, can't enjoy themselves without a drink either. So let's talk about their drinking problems. Are they there to watch the game or do business only. If its business only- go to a place that serves drinks.
If all cant buy a drink, no one should be able to.

If people are sloppy drunk and act like asses, kick them out. Nothing changes.

I am not going to make sweeping generalizations like anyone drunk at a game "can't limit themselves while tailgating". I'm just going to share my own personal experiences. I only see a couple games live a year. The rest of the home games I tailgate then watch in a sports bar having a couple beers. The games when I have tickets I always get a couple more beers in and a shot or 2 more before I go in. (And somehow I'm able to stand all game and yell. Talk a Lil shit to the griz fans behind me. Share a laugh with those same Griz fans. Enjoy myself and not get kicked out or ruin anyone else's experience). Games when I don't have tickets I drink far less before and during the game. If I could buy a couple beers in the dome instead of shot gunning a beer or 2 and a couple of shots 30 min before heading in, I'd be for it. Also beer and nachos/hotdogs/pizza really give me those extra carbs for an energetic 3rd quarter. And my old coach always taught us that games are won in the 3rd quarter.

It is amazing how the control freaks love to place all sorts of limitations in the name of protecting us from ourselves. Like they know better? Thousands of dollars wasted every game on an excessive number of security personnel. Do they expect a riot? What has ever happened to make this level of security necessary? Why do tailgates for FBS games that are open longer with 2 or 3 times as many fans have much less security?
