First, most people can get enough beer at tailgating already. Beer sales at the FargoDome would be mostly for people who go to the game without tailgating first (not that there's anything wrong with that.) Tailgating isn't much of an option for basketball.

Second, if NDSU sold beer at basketball games, then the FargoDome wouldn't be taking a huge house cut. Beer sales at football benefit the FargoDome a lot more than NDSU... until a new contract is drawn up.
Would be great to be able to enjoy a beverage at the new BSA. Would I go to more games? Probably the Saturday games for sure.

Again I am not a beer drinker but I could see more value in having beer at basketball games. The lounge at Scheels Arena is nice before the game. But have this continue until halftime.

Basketball would be great too but I say both of them would be better. I think we want to help the dome out too as they are kind of a partner when it comes to upgrades

University of Maryland will serve beer at football and basketball games on a one year trial beginning this fall.

The Fargodome Authority board president will be recommending beer sales for suites and a beer garden(or equivalent). Suites would get beer for the first game, while the beer garden might take a game or three before it's ready. Sales cutoff at the end of the 3rd quarter.

This recommendation will be presented to the FD Authority next Tuesday. They may or may not make a decision at that time. If they approve it, it will need to go to the city commission for final approval. Bresciani is in favor of suites, and is willing to allow general sales as long as it can be kept out of the student section; the beer garden concept is a way to let that happen.

this I can support, I know people who can't always make it tailgating and would like a beer, there is drinking happening regardless, it's not hard to sneak in a bottle...in fact it's very easy

    Love it!

    Charge $8 a beer.

Build some sort of weird multilevel lounge in each corner with seating for 500.
