Yep. I would love to see this happen. Odds are if the addition goes downtown, we would have a better chance at the premium one below. But if it's attached to the dome, we would likely see the smaller version. For that reason I kind of like the idea of going downtown. Would save parking and give the dome some real upgrades. The addition to the done had an addition to the south endzone with premium suites overlooking the field, but I like this better. We really need high donor premium seats and more restrooms on the west side. Need a entrance to contain the cold too

Now if it goes downtown and we get shitty upgrades I'll be pissed

Yeah it was. Then when it was put it up to a vote, Doug B jumped allover it because he wants us to build DT...imagine that! Now despite an independent consultant firm saying building at the Fargo dome makes the most sense, we are still in a holding pattern. Now of course, if the expansion happens that would not help the build a new building cause. Not sure how I fell about it

The whole deal though is Fargodome authority would help pay for part of the facility going downtown (that way Burgum et al would not have to get City to finance a new deal or add another sales tax etc). So Fargodome itself would get some "cheap" maintenance upgrades...

Why would the Fargodome authority spend money for it to go downtown? That makes no sense.

Don't expect any new major city projects to happen for at least 3 years. No conference center(either location), no FD addition, no fine arts or performance center. At this point they'll be lucky to get the new city hall built and that's been in the pipeline for years. Through 2018, we're looking at city commission gridlock the likes of which we haven't seen in a long time.

Yeah we had a chance until we elected Tony Gehrig. If he had his way we would have dirt roads. He's Mike Williams with even tighter ass cheeks when it comes to the city doing anything

Does for Burgum et al... Think most here agree that it doesn't. Just a group of people wanting to spend a pile of fargodome cash needed for maintenance which likely will be increasing substantially, cash that isn't theirs to benefit themselves in my opinion.

If they want a convention center downtown then use their own money or put it to a city vote to use taxpayer dollars.
