Another way to reduce labor costs would be to allow people to park their rigs in the actual tailgate lot on Friday but don't allow setup until the designated time Saturday morning. They wouldn't need the army of bright yellow vests directing traffic on Saturday morning then.
Makes me vehemently oppose the leadership. It doesn't have to be this way. They could sell beer and extend tailgating or keep it the same. They are just hoping the sheep follow their lead

Do sports bars like B Dubs limit alcohol consumption before a game starts because you can drink during the game? It's flat out stupid fucking logic by mindless turds

This wasn't a new thing...they've always threatened shorter tailgate if beer was sold during games. That's why I've been a broken record on the subject.

Do any other schools require the reserved tailgate lineup the morning of the game? Have other schools reduced tailgating time when they added stadium alcohol sales?

What's stupid to me out the the FargoDome is their uniquely puritanical stance on alcohol compared to other programs. Get over it. Prohibition is over.

They should threaten anything. They work for the public, and the public supports it.

The city of Fargo passed alcohol for tailgating. It's written into the city ordinance. The dome is a public facility. I don't even see how the Fargodome Authority has any authority on the matter. The promoter which is NDSU pays for the ability to rent the lot, just like Rib Fest does. Do they limit when Rib Fest can have alcohol? That's like an all day deal. It's 48 hours over 4 days, which is equal to a full regular season of football. And yes... Rib Fest is FAMILY FRIENDLY

What would it take to have as much fun during the game as tailgating? I'm guessing competitive games and I don't see that happening outside of a few games per year.

It is almost like Rob has no idea what drives attendance at NDSU games....With gas prices near 4.50/gallon - I am pretty sure after Homecoming we will see crowds of 10K.

One way to drum up revenue - let people pay extra to park their rigs in the lot the night before.
It's OK to not be OK.

The info. you posted above seems to be in direct contrast with Matt Larsen’s re: improving the entire gameday experience. Do NDSU and the Dome authority have an open dialogue going on that issue or not? Doesn’t appear that way.

Yes you still would as people will get in line just to get to their pre parked rigs.

It certainly sounds like no communications. I imagine NDSU would end up absorbing some of the costs for parking increases if they have to pay that back to the dome since they already set prices for reserved tailgating.

    2 sides of it.

    1) NDSU fan experience. At least they are trying and acknowledge there is an issue. They may or may not be asking the right questions, but they are trying. Sent out surveys.

    2) Dome experience. They have done nothing to address any of the common issues, that make people less likely to attend an event there. They are defensive about everything. No information on why they cancelled their 2019 plans to expand the concourses and add restrooms for 4 years.
