I watched them play Ohio State. I couldn't even concentrate on the game. All I could think is what the hell would a beaver need a paddle for? Thought it was a beaver tail at first. I'm sure it just confuses recruits. Really needed to put it on the helmet? Do they slap it for a power up?

To be fair, they are building from nothing. So a first step is to get to bowls consistently and build some excitement around the program. Although it does lead to the yearly emotional rollercoaster ride for fans.

I'm sure he'll get them to a perfectly mediocre bowl game one of the next two years (pick your favorite auto parts bowl), then he'll get canned because they aren't meeting expectations. Lather, rinse, repeat.

Either way, he'll have the new sales record at whatever car lot he ends up on.

Perhaps PJ Fleck needs the paddle to row the boat when he's chasing after beaver(s).
