True, but it still existed after it started. Now if we go FBS, all we have to do is get some team to Fargo and have them beat us by 10 points and trust me, they'll be a rival.

And I think JMU probably evoked far more fan passion and hatred then SDSU. I believe in the early FCS years SDSU was referred to by McFeely and a few others as a "manufactured" rivalry.

I don’t know why SDSU isn’t our most hated rival. They are the only team that can consistently threaten to beat us year after year. I would like UNI on the schedule every year too but they haven’t been very good lately. It still boggles my mind that the SDSU game isn’t sold out yet. It’s the biggest game on our schedule and either we don’t see them as our rival or the fans on either side are no longer excited about the matchup. It’s hard for me not to be pumped for the SDSU game
