NDSU Athletics: oderint dum metuant
Any opinion that starts with a detailed look at the B1G as an NDSU FBS option is a joke right out of the box. The air miles look correct, though.
It’s a year old already anyways. Sorry, my bad. I honestly can’t remember if I already saw it. Saw it on a Mac board.
In 2018 I agreed with him, but now (next 2-3 years) the right FBS invite is NDSU’s to go get. Playoffs will expand to 12 and P5 won’t split away, so best go get after it.
Looks like we’ll know who the new POTU is tomorrow.
NCAA D1 Hockey:
60 teams
The most popular sport in THE LAND!
"Oh Canada, our home and native..."
30 affiliated with D1 football (15 FBS and 15 FCS)
30 affiliated with D2, D3, or no football
You're so jealous!
Let's fight for 0.6 seconds or 5 OTs!
Is this real?
How's that look in 2021 with expenses surely up (7% inflation anyone?) and attendance down to a 15k average? Is TeamMakers able cover any gaps?In fact, the Bison lost $41,000 in football for the 2018-19 season despite drawing an average of 18,000 fans per contest for 11 home games.
Comparing charter flight cost to commercial flight cost is apples to oranges. Charter flights are typically priced by distance (or flight hours) and capacity of the aircraft required; commercial is based on other factors in addition to distance such as competition with other airlines, ass’ in seats, seasons, special events, etc. also, hotel costs in the bigger cities tend to be a lot more expensive than those in say, Normal or Youngstown.
So if your distance doubles, your price may double for a charter (not really because their are some sunk costs that would be the similar). Additionally hotel costs would probably increase significantly going to higher cost cities, as well as the food costs.

Travel for football is a complete non issue. The concern is travel for the rest of the sports if we get an all-sport conference invitation, although admittedly there aren't many bus trips as it is. Also, I don't think any sport other than football flies charter. (Correct me if I'm wrong.)
Insert something clever here...
