If we concentrated on the really important stuff in life, there'd be a shortage of fishing poles"
When you play football, you gotta like the taste of blood, And 50 percent of the time, it's your blood.
It is characteristic of the unlearned that they are forever proposing something which is old, and because it has recently come to their own attention, supposing it to be new.

The minot state beavers game isn't even on TV eh. Always a good t shirt around when you play the beavers. Probably won't even listen for free on the radio for this one eh.
Lardsin must go!
Just a reminder about Boise State, since they aren’t on this list. (12 team Mountain West)
iirc The Big 12 tv contract expires after the 2025 season, so that will be the last possible date Texas & Oklahoma are still in the Big 12. There are substantial early departure penalties Texas & Oklahoma may not want to pay. Perhaps an early departure gets negotiated……
Then the Big 12 is back down to 12 teams. Do they stay at 12?
Have seen some interesting 16 team super conference ideas for them, especially since they are fighting to remain a P5 conference and get that next P5 style tv conference. It may be less than the other 4, but is still way more than the AAC currently gets per school.
Of course Boise would jump at the chance of Big 12 membership and would love to be a travel partner to BYU.
Is that what the Big 12 wants?
South Florida would give the Big 12 two Florida teams.
Is that what the Big 12 wants?
Other Mountain West teams may end up as targets of Big 12 expansion in a few years.
Colorado State?
San Diego State?
UNLV?
Cincinnati, Central Florida, Houston & BYU.
Getting those 1st four recruits really helped the Big 12.
Those four were head and shoulders above the rest.
The next 4, should that happen, will be very interesting……but the Big 12 has many choices……
