NDSU TO FBS. HAVEN'T WE WON ENOUGH?
who cares about the Fargodome/City of Fargo if NDSU has a stadium like this. Fargodome is outdated and was built too small for the growth of NDSU football and quite frankly the city of fargo 200,000 people in the area now?
NDSU would make the revenue, what does NDSU make revenue wise on NDSU football in the fargodome now?
NDSU TO FBS. HAVEN'T WE WON ENOUGH?
If we concentrated on the really important stuff in life, there'd be a shortage of fishing poles"
When you play football, you gotta like the taste of blood, And 50 percent of the time, it's your blood.
It is characteristic of the unlearned that they are forever proposing something which is old, and because it has recently come to their own attention, supposing it to be new.
"The best way to get the right answer on the internet is not to ask a question; it's to post the wrong answer."
1. The FCS was the Best option for NDSU for a very long time.
2. As a general rule- the FCS sucks at football and has proven that is not committed to football at all.
3. It's time to go FBS
The only reason some people get lost in thought is because it's unfamiliar territory.
Paul Fix.
For most things they put on in there now it definitely is size for what city needs, what other events other than NDSU football is it too small? It probably misses out on the larger convention center stuff no doubt but Fargodome isn't really even set up like a convention center currently. Who cares? Um city taxpayers do. I'm not one so I guess I don't really maybe? So NDSU builds a partially outdoor stadium how are you going to host trade shows/conferences in this thing 365 days?
NDSU stadium would require a whole administration to run it/market it etc. Then you have to hire all the event staff etc as well. I think a lot more goes into costs than your brain is thinking on this. I don't know those answers for sure but pretty sure a NDSU indoor stadium (if somehow managed that) and fargodome in the same vicinity would bleed each other dry and neither one would end up being a good facility for anything.
