That was a good podcast. The guy knows what he is talking about. After mentioning NDSU and SDSU trying to get into the MW he wasn't sure they were a fit. He mentioned Sac State and Northern Arizona as being more likely candidates because of huge student bodies and lots of tv viewers. Sac State is in an area where there is lots of donor money too.

He closed by saying the MW is still interested in Texas as a place to expand to.

Until the Pac 12 and the Big 12 get figured out the MW is not part of the story. However, when they do have to make their decisions they already know what they are going to do in every scenario.

It is the wild wild west these days..It is hard say how this will all play out.

How I hope the days of G5s picking up schools just because they are in large cities are over. If not college football is doomed at that level.

No one gives a shit about the 5th or 6th school from a larger metro.

The Montana AD's words could be aimed at his base as motivation to get active and not lose slots they'd long assumed were theirs.


And if he brought up markets and access to potential students, he knows who that works for and against.

NDUS has plenty of students to support an FBS team and its all about brands now
This tells me they're pushing, together, with high standards
