We effectively accept everyone already, so this will further lower university profile for acceptance rate, average ACT, average GPA, and graduation rate. More great news for us is kids with parents making over the threshold will push their kids to go to other schools with better academic profiles. Side note, the UofM will not be effected because of the academic profile required to attend.
It seems like you’re saying that kids who grow up with less money are not as capable of succeeding in college as kids who’s parent(s) earn more than some arbitrary amount? Perhaps you’d like to clarify your meaning.

We all live in stories... It seems to me that a definition of any living vibrant society is that you constantly question those stories... The argument itself is freedom. It's not that you come to a conclusion about it. Through that argument you change your mind sometimes... That's how societies grow. When you can't retell for yourself the stories of your life then you live in a prison... Somebody else controls the story. - S. Rushdie
