Pac-12 aka Pac-2 aka 2Pac has officially lost their autonomy status. Their only realistic option is joining the MWC, possibly with some rebranding. If you'd paid any attention to this saga, holy cow the PAC is a disaster. Seriously, how does this kind of incompetence exist at this level?

The professional administrative class is corrupt and incompetent at every level. Some just have a larger range of permissible failure.

Interesting take from FCS AGS via 'caribeanhen' re UD FBS move. Props to 'Mr Chicken' … awk

"The president of UD is telling everyone a big part of this move has to do with the coming battle between all of these colleges trying to get a dwindling number of potential students into their classrooms and the population is moving south…. Mr Chicken was all over it"

I know some UD faculty and they are not at all pleased with the move, but this is probably par for the course with academics. I’ll be curious to see how it shakes out for UD., but I think it’s a good move for them

If he's right, stay away from the MAC for sure. SE and Mountain West are the place to be, particularly TX

The "battle to get a dwindling number of potential students" will be an issue for ND (more so than SD, imo ... see Canada) and I fear that some difficult decisions loom, although I doubt anyone in Bismarck wants to touch it
