You guys are funny
Doesn’t look like the cuts will be that much, and they all stem from a budget model based on enrollment, pushed by DB, that hurt you less because of your strong on-line enrollment. Looks to be normalizing now
Also, NDSU may get Ag money, but you get Med School money. Nice try tho. If you normalize NDSU’s output by staff, you might be scared … Does "North Dakota" mean "double standard" in Lakota or something? Different schools, different niches. That’s the only way this works.
As for FBS, build it from what? MVFC? Ha ha ha. Thanks for the chuckle. NDSU and JMU are the only ones FBS ready. The Dakota model in D1 will mean that there will be disparities in athletics success. It’s a D2 model, after all, and the pot is shrinking.
But here’s what I really don’t get about you guys. NDSU jumped up, much to your ridicule, and experienced great success. They never missed you. If NDSU jumps, there’s your opportunity to prove that you can be successful at the D1/FCS level, assuming that’s what you’re really interested in?
It's so rich to have a fan/assumed grad of the school that has lied and cheated their way to additional state funding explaining to us dumb farmers how SBOHE works.
Yeah, we're well aware. The only reason UND has a pulse at this point is because the state gov legislates their heartbeat. Go get a degree from an R1 institution before you start trying to educate your "peers" sheesh
So after all these years, there's been zero proposals that make sense. An FBS move should generate fan excitement and bring in new fans. Good luck with that from what the options are. Dwindling attendance will continue unless it's something legit. 20 year season ticket holder here just being real, deal with it.
Hopefully for Christmas you guys get "your way" and we can be on the ESPN ticket like Wyoming on 12/21 sometime so watch players sprinkle French Fries on Entz in front of a crowd full of parents. Sounds amazing.
Insert something clever here...
So we don't lose anything from going FBS? Great, thanks for your approval
First it was quality of football team, then it was academics, then it was financials, then it was attendance, then it was TV numbers. Now you compare us to FBS teams that wouldn't even be in the semifinals and pretend like the Idaho Potato Bowl is the best we could do.
And then you play dumb about strawman arguments. Good thing you aren't a lawyer. Enjoy your 9 home games a year, it's literally the only reason to advocate for staying FCS at this point.
