Sure we could lose a game.

I'm more worried about the message board posters who worry that this thread is making us lose focus when we (the fan boys) need to be taking it one game at a time. Sure if bisonville loses focus the team will be okay.

Strongman Great thread and here's a question for you. NDSU is 47-2 at what point can these naysayer's actually say "yea, this is getting ridiculous.." 60-2 ? 70-3 ? 100 - 5 ? now thats a serious question as I dont see NDSU losing.

So what should the Alabama's, Oregon's, Florida St's of the world do then? Play the NFL??? Just because you dominate a league for a SHORT period of time, doesn't mean you need to immediately jump ship to find a bigger boat. Enjoy the ride. In due time, NDSU will do what's best for NDSU.

I am so sick of the Bison already. Win this, win that, blah, blah, blah. I'd really, really like to know how they do it. I swear they have to be the luckiest sob's on the planet. Just sick of this bs, just fed up.

All that's happening is our competition in the conference is upping their game. Half the teams in the conference are getting new stadiums and competing harder for everything. All you need to do is look at history and see what happened in the NCC. We remained good. Other teams got even better. Teams know what they need to do to compete with us. If we don't work harder than. Another MVFC team will take our place, just like UNC did back in the day

    Siu - new stadium
Sdsu - new stadium and ipf
    Illinois state - new stadium
Missouri state - major stadium upgrade
Usd - coach glenn and other upg8
    Youngstown - amazing ipf
    Un_ - ipf

We have to bust ass and improve everything

So far this year we are averaging 8 penalties for 64 yards. Last years first four games were 4.25 penalties for 31.27 yards. Right now we are doubling number and yards over last year.

The whole year last year (2013) we averaged 4.9 penalties per game for 41 yards.

    2012 was 4.8 for 40 yards
    2011 was 5.5 for 48.1 yards
    2010 was 7.42 for 64 yards
    2009 was 6.4 for 58 yards

This is something that could come and bite us but it is fixable, it is a good test to see how the new coaching staff handles it.

The MVFC will be tougher than playing Montana.

Yeah, I'd agree. There will be at least three MVFC games that are tougher.

It's not that I don't think Montana is a good team; it's more that I think that MVFC teams match up better and have had a lot more experience trying to beat the Bison.
