This week's factoid: Currently, NDSU is #38 in all-time wins among all DI programs with 661. What makes it even more impressive is that every DI team with more wins has played between 62 and 286 more games. At the start of the 2011 season, NDSU was at #50.
To be completely fair, do the records mentioned include all non-DI wins for all teams? If so, extremely impressive.

Yeah, it does include non-DI wins. It's hard to do only DI wins because DI didn't exist before 1973. BTW, almost every Ivy League team has more wins than NDSU.

Actually, the only reason I limited it to DI teams is that I haven't updated my data to include D2 and D3 teams' complete historical records. If I had, there are four D3 teams and one D2 team with more wins than NDSU.

    6. 40.83 - John Bonicelli (103-4205) - 2000-03
    Awesome stat, thanks for sharing.

I love the way LeCompte punts. I also loved the way Drago punted. Drago's punts not only went a long way down the field, but they stayed up forever!! Still cant believe he isnt kicking on Sundays.

After further review, I guess I was wrong. The word "factoid" has two definitions that are basically opposites of each other. I thought the definition was a falsehood believed to be true because it is said or printed so often. But, it turns out, it can also be a brief trivial fact, as used in this thread. Is there any other word in the English language that has two opposite meanings?

If the years you posted are correct, I'd say 6 of the top 6 played since 2000.

Interesting question... I couldn't think of any off the top of my head, but I did find this: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Auto-antonym

Irony really should be an auto-antonym.

You're right. The years should be good, they're from gobison.com. Of course they're missing 6 rushing yards off of Crockett's career total so...

Anyway, the string runs 7 deep and goes back to 1994. Might also have something to do with moving inside.

    Bi-weekly, according to Merriam:
    1: occurring twice a week
    2: occurring every two weeks
