It looks like NDSU passed Washington & Jefferson, Texas A&M, and West Virginia which would make NDSU #21 in all-time wins.
On the wiki page #20-#15 are Clemson, Wittenberg, Auburn, Harvard, LSU, Mount Union.
NDSU is definitely not getting into the top 20 until they are over 800 wins which can't happen next year.
Wouldn't WV have 778 wins after going 5-7? NDSU can only get 13 wins this year putting them at 776 considering they win the championship.

The W-L records on the wiki page are very suspect because people update one team but not all of them - and they often base it on adding wins to a number that was wrong to begin with. (I mean, Harvard is probably about 60 games off - they have almost 900 wins, I think.)
I've got WVU at 774-520-45: Bisonville.com - West Virginia Main Page
But WVU's quick facts page has them at 767-515-45 going into the season: 2022 West Virginia University Football Quick Facts (PDF) - West Virginia University Athletics (wvusports.com) That would make them 772-522-45 now. I'm going to try to reconcile that in the off season, but if there's one thing I've learned about athletic departments, it's that they aren't good at adding up columns of numbers (NDSU's is an exception.)
Gotcha just saw at the top of the page it was per date in August.
Think this would be fairly easy to keep accurate to some extent obviously the 1870s1920s or so probably a bit dicy at times but would think some time and research of the archives would be able to nail it down to less than 5-10 games off.

The list is updated and NDSU has climbed to #21 all-time: List of NCAA football teams by wins - Wikipedia
It looks like the person who updated this fixed some errors.
