    Default 2015 College Hoops Thread

Coach Miles has a good start to his 2015 recruiting class.
Recently got a commit from a Rivals 4 star PG from Illinois -
    Glynn Watson - 5' 11" 160 lbs - Westchester Ill (St Joseph's)
Watson has an impressive offer list from 7 other schools, including Iowa, Purdue and Creighton.
    Nebraska also has a commit from a Rivals 3 star F - Michael Jacobson - 6' 8" 215 lbs - Waukee Iowa
The Huskers (and Creighton) are also in on the recruiting of 6' 9" Alex Illikainen
    (formerly of Grand Rapids MN)

If having a strong basketball program will assist Coach Bohl and Wyoming football in their rebuild,
more help is on the way. Wyoming picked up their 4th verbal for 2015,
Eric Turner - 6' 5" 195 lbs (listed as 6' 7" by Rivals) - The Villages Charter School in Florida

Turner averaged 24 points and seven rebounds per game last season as a junior.

He says he also received scholarship offers from Texas Tech, George Mason, Houston, Charlotte, Central Florida and Florida International.

    Other commits include
    - Jordan Naughton - 6' 10" 220 lbs - PF - Rancho Cucamonga CA
    - Andrew Moemeka - 6' 8" 200 lbs - F - Lake City Florida - Florida Gulf Coast & Fla Intl among 10 offers
    - Austin Conway - 5' 10" 165 lbs - G - Aurora Colorado - 3 stars on Rivals - Indiana & Rice offers

Wyoming was 18-15 last season, 9-9 conference, with a 14-4 home court advantage
(kinda takes your breath away doesn't it , especially at 7000 ft)

Nice get for the Gophers! Coach Pitino & staff get a verbal from local (DeLaSalle) 6' 1 " PG Jarvis Johnson.
Minnesota was 0 for 3 on the Big 3 Div I recruits last year. Now Richard Pitino has been on
the job longer, hope this is a sign of things to come. Johnson's sister plays for Iowa State, so it would have been easy for him to go elsewhere. The DeLaSalle Coach mentions 2 more seniors
he thinks can play at the Div I level, plus some younger players on the way.
(thinking Gophers & Bison recruiting here)
This is Minnesota's 4th verbal and they currently have only 4 schollies available.
The article mentions they continue to recruit 6" 8" Alex Illikainen. (must mean they'll
find another scholarship somehow, chances are someone will transfer out or leave)

The other 3 player verbals for Minnesota are from
    - 5' 10" PG Kevin Dorsey - Monterverde Fla - Rivals ranking # 85
    - 6' 4" SG/SF Dupree McBrayer - Sunrise Christian Academy, Bel Aire KS - Rivals ranking #134
    - 6' 10" C Jonathan Nwanko - Victory Rock Prep, Sarasota Fla - Rivals ranking (none)

As posted elsewhere, Illikainen verbaled to Wisky, but for a "consolation prize" Coach Miles & Staff.....

#Boom for #Nebrasketball. Tim Miles gets a commitment from Ed Morrow Jr over Iowa, Iowa State, Creighton and others #Huskers
Ed Morrow Jr is a 4 star prospect according to 247Sports, currently at #101 nationally. He is 6' 7" 215 lbs.
I believe his Mother also has a connection to Nebraska, as does his father.....

On Saturday evening, the University of Nebraska celebrated the 20th anniversary of the national championship team of 1994. On that team was a sophomore outside linebacker. He didn’t play much, but he was back this weekend, walked out of the tunnel and lined up to greet the team as they took the field. His name? Ed Morrow. His son is Ed Morrow Jr. and he’s a big time college basketball recruit. He just committed to play for the Huskers.

The Huskers are taking full advantage of the newfound success on the court, coming off their first NCAA tournament appearance since 1998. The addition of Morrow brings this 2015 recruiting class into the conversation as the best ever at Nebraska.

Four-star forward Ed Morrow to Nebraska.......
