Default Things you noticed during the first game

One that jumped out at me was the large number of passes to the TE.

That was probably designed to get Carson used to game situations. Easy checkdowns, simple passes, etc.

I said this somewhere else but what I noticed was John Crockett's separation speed.

Lots of nice surprises, but I'd have to say the running back speed got my attention. I knew Crockett was fast, but couldn't believe the way he ran away from those ISU DBs on his 80-yard run. It appears that Chase is faster than I gave him credit for, as well.

The long ball to Crockett got my attention. I don't remember them using RBs in the pass game quite like that in the recent past. Showed what they think both Wentz and Crockett can do to add dynamic plays to a power offense.

I noticed that Carson throws a Brett Favre-like bullet. His arm is pro. I know it has been talked about a lot, but the line was very impressive! New group, same story. As conditioned as a model's hair, meaner than a rattle snake, and handed out punishment like King Richard III!

2 running backs in the backfield.
    Few 3 wr sets
Jeff Illies was split out wide
    Not a lot of misdirection
    Beck in coverage
