Didn't know where else to say this bit I'm watching the UnoD-SjSU feed and the announcers are just jamming it down the viewers throats that UnoD as the "flagship" school in ND... Heard it at least 4-5 times on their opening drove... Btw tht drive ended with turnover on downs... 7-0 SJSU 8:24 left in 1st.

They are the flagship university. We are the landgrant university. It doesn't make an Fing difference.

They were just repeating Bubba's shtick (and said as much at least the first couple of times they brought it up). The point that UND as an institution has the resources on paper to field an FCS team that isn't a perennial bottom feeder makes sense. When it's turned into "UND is THE flagship university in ND" it is moronic and just detracts from what should be the focus of their message. Any impartial observer would peg NDSU/UND as dual flagship schools. That isn't an uncommon situation among state schools or very hard to wrap your head around.
