I've been so busy with my new job that I've got so much to write about this. But I'll just not say anything more than, this is hands down the coolest thing to ever happen for this states athletes hands down. TY Carson for really being the guy and owning that:

Did you stay in a Holiday Inn Express the night before?
It could be either 40 or sloppy reporting just like saying he missed 10 games.

Wentz’ competitiveness borders on unreasonable. He and backup quarterback Easton Stick were nannies last summer, babysitting to earn spending money. Wentz, Stick said, had to win playing Wiffle Ball with the kids. How old were the kids? “Nine, 10, 11,” Stick said.

Obviously the kids need to up their game.

Hah no but my kids have been going nuts with their sleeping so probably felt like I'd slept at a holiday inn express!

That was what I kind of was insinuating that it got reported by someone he had a 29, but Carson nor anyone official ever really confirmed it. It seemed like someone just threw it out there and a couple people picked up on it and went with it.

Really with wunderlich the key is answer all the easy questions as fast as you can. Them go back and answer all the longer ones until you run out of time.

I was quite surprised when it was "reported" that he had 29, not that it was bad score that would have hurt him but from all has been talked about his intelligence and such thought he would be able to score just as high as me if not higher.

If this 40 number that came from someone that should know is true then that should only help him. 29, was kind of meh, not anything to be concerned about but nothing to put him above others. 40 is a bit more stand out.

How cool would it be to see Carson and Ryan Smith play for the same terms in NFL. Carson under center and Ryan Smith as slot WR. That is a dream come true situation.
" Our strategy for winning against BISON was simple, we put our WRs and RBs in a 1 on 1 situation with their defense in the backfield.....everybody knows they have some freshman who cannot tackle in a 1 on 1 situation.....Joe Glen"

The first person to report his Wunderlic score of 40 was Ron Jaworksi I believe. I'm sure he watched 126,472 hours of tape of Carson in the classroom so I'll take his word for it.

I have watched draft coverage for a long time. I really cant remember seeing someone get the coverage Wentz has gotten. Such a great kid and good story. This is bigger for this program in terms of recruitment than all 5 of our championships combined.

    — The North Dakota State pro day, featuring Carson Wentz, was televised on NFL Network for all to see. A scout who worked Wentz out before the pro day said he was amazed at how NFL-ready he is from a mental standpoint. Said the scout, “I’ve never seen a rookie handle the whiteboard like [Wentz] did.”
    3. Tackle Joe Haeg, North Dakota State

Wentz dominated the North Dakota State pro day, but offensive tackle Joe Haeg is a top-100 player in his own right.

Haeg, who played left tackle for two seasons and right tackle for two seasons, has the size (6'6", 304 lbs) and athleticism to line up at either spot in the NFL. Teams I've talked to also like his potential at guard in zone-blocking schemes.

As far as recruiting players who want to go to the NFL, this legitimizes us. Especially players who play QB. Especially with Randy Hedberg who coached Carson. Just the hype of us running pro style offenses in making a player NFL ready helps in a crazy way. The Gruden piece is worth it alone.

However the National Championships, College Gamedays , and all the televised home games and wins over FBS schools is way bigger IMO

Both super valuable, just completely different.

Agree with that. What ever size dot we were on a map before, at least now there are more people who might actually know what end of the state Fargo is. Our logo, nickname and school name have been plastered all over sports media, for a longer period of time. 5 Natty's help define that he comes from a winning program with a ton of pride and tradition. Definitely there are future recruits who probably are liking what they see.
