It was Eli that refused to go to San Diego. Peyton was the #1 pick and the thing I remember most about him during the draft process was after he signed the largest deal for a rookie in NFL history at the time somebody asked him what he was going to do with all that money his answer was that he was going to earn it.
    Don't matter. FIVE-PEAT!

Well if Cleveland takes Kaep, 49ers take RGIII, that allows Wentz to drop somewhere around 10... Makes the jump much easier. Not easy, but easier.

I am so sick of the Bison already. Win this, win that, blah, blah, blah. I'd really, really like to know how they do it. I swear they have to be the luckiest sob's on the planet. Just sick of this bs, just fed up.

The only other QB to do this as far as I can remembered was my boyhood hero, John Elway. The difference between Eli and John though was that John had an option of playing for the Yankees if the Baltimore Colts didn't trade him. When you consider that 1983 QB class, Baltimore would have been wise selecting someone who wasn't verbally against playing for their team (actually head coach).
    Hail the BISON!!!

The two white quarterbacks out front---clearly racist.
The only reason some people get lost in thought is because it's unfamiliar territory.

Yup......Gil Brandt, an experienced NFL professional, now has Wentz as #1 as far as top available QBs....over existing guys that play in the NFL....not 12th on the board in the draft.

This a really weird draft and free agent market, but I don't watch a lot of NFL. Given that confession, I have always believed that in this draft the highest any of the available QBs will be taken is in the mid to late first round and there will be no more than Wentz and Goff, all others in day two and three.

Not a knock on their talent, just that the teams who need a QB in the top half also need so much else as well, and I think the perception will be that none of the draft eligible QBs are first day starters while in other positions there is more immediate help. I think these last two links pretty well summarize what I have been thinking for some time.
