This is a great move by the Eagles, I read today that if Tate should leave in FA after this year the Eagles can expect a 3-4th compensory pick in next years draft. "Pay the Man, Play the Man, see how it goes"!!! I watched Tate a couple times this year and he looked really good from what I recall. Great over the middle routes and even better after the catch. That fits right into Wentz' wheel house. I think it may be all for not though if that O-line cant find a way to get healthy and stay that way. The arrogant D can pull their heads out of their Butts and start playing up to their level of talent as well....

Oh my gosh, yes. Did I like Carson Wentz? Hell yes. He did something that no other quarterback did. I give them three minutes to memorize the book and put on the (white) board. He put it all on the board in two minutes and 48 seconds. I've never had a guy do that ever in my coaching career

To be fair that comment was attributed to Paul DePodesta and the "Browns braintrust" which included him and Sashi what's-his-name who had some pretty well documented tiffs with Hue, particularly around their inaction when New England traded Jimmy G to San Fran and the trade that fell through (or maybe was intentionally sabotaged by said Browns braintrust) to bring AJ McCarron to Cleveland at the trade deadline last year.

Hue was not a good head coach but I'm pretty sure the majority of the blame for Cleveland's epic run of ineptitude in 2016 and 2017 can be attributed to that awful front office with Carson Wentz being exhibit A of how horrible they were at their jobs.
