And then it has to end that way.

I think they need to run “The Annexation of Puerto Rico”. Last resort.

Maybe it's just the NyQuil talking, but was that technically a safety on Seattle? The defender intercepted the ball, established possession in the endzone, then ran out the back of the endzone before downing the ball. I understand that you can go out of bounds while the process of making the catch takes you out of bounds, but that wasn't the case here. I'm not upset the refs didn't call it, but it just struck me as odd that he ran out the back of the endzone without taking a knee first.

    It's probably the NyQuil talking.

Wentz stat line won’t seem like he was so off his game today.

I noticed that and was wondering the same thing. Just curious about the rule and how that play turned out.

The loss of Jason Peters is going to haunt this team the rest of the year.

Fumble on the goal line was an absolute killer.

I don't think it is since he was in the endzone and never came out.

That would be a completely illogical rule. The offense fumbles and the defense recovers in the end zone it's a touchback. If it's fumbled into and out of the end zone why would you let the team that screwed up keep the ball?

The story line is that because the running game was almost nonexistent the onus was put on Wentz and most of the time he was under extreme duress. That however doesn't excuse the airmailed pass that may well have led to a score, and was instead Seattle went right down and scored, and of course fumbling the ball at the goal line.
