I'd be more shocked if he didn't do that to tell you the truth.

I know we all want to think that. I also believe that Carson along with many others in pro sports are willing to give up a small percentage of their crazy salaries to be successful. I also know your relation to him. But I will say this, it's not entirely going to be a decision he can make without major pressure for the players association. If you don't think the high profile players feel the pressure to get big contracts to help elevate the entire player pool you're mistaken. Sometimes you're forced to do the "right thing" for the group that may look selfish on the surface.

This is spot on. Just watched an interview the other day on ESPN with Richard Sherman. One question was how to raise salaries across the league. Sherman said the best way would be a player strike to force the owners hand, but it has to be lead by the best player in the league, Tom Brady. Brady does just what we think Carson would do. The feeling I got from the that question on the show from Sherman was some slight resentment, not that Brady is the best, but that HIS salary is being held back by Brady.
