Unfortunately, Roger was not "kind" enough to the media during his playing days and therefore was treated as the anti-Mickey Mantle. Apparently, charisma is a must for players on the verge of making it into the HOF.

Yeah he was very good but not HOF good for much of his career. I'm horrible at analogies but Rogers stats would be like Kent Hrbek's career batting numbers but with 1 epic season. Very good but not HOF worthy. Had someone like Hrbek had a 61 type season mixed into his career, would he be HOF caliber?

I am not sure if someone has mentioned this or not, but the Carson Wentz Sports Illustrated, is on the shelves in Minot at Target as I write this. We just got a few copies, after stopping at Barnes and Noble, and getting on a "list" for a copy, since their had not come in, yet their "list" had only a few names on it? All of our Fargo Bison-friends tell me its already a zoo in the FM area simply trying to get a copy. Minot shouldnt even be considered part of Bison Nation....
