What is so interesting about it?

If I had a player at the most important position who has not proven capable of staying healthy, I would want to ensure I have someone in place to take over when, not if, he goes down.

I sure wouldn't give someone a 4 year 128 million contract and then have to use a 2nd round draft pick to back him up when I can find a back up on the open market. There is a lot of need and a lot of players I would take instead of someone who if plan A works will never see the field. If I am at that point as a GM I am seeing what I can get for a trade for Plan A.

Because they have more pics including 3 in the 4th Rd. They more or less have no defense. DL is ok. They need LBs, S, and a CB for sure not to mention maybe another WR and possibly OL.

The lost a playoff game last year , and the year before that, because their starting QB was not available to play.

Eagles can cut ties with Wentz after 2021.

By that point, Hurts could be the guy.....and you’d have a young, cheap QB and a ton of cap space.

This is a clear message to Wentz and insurance (both short and long term) for the Eagles.

They have not had a starting QB who can stay healthy. It has been proven they need a capable backup to be successful.

They also lost plenty of games because their defense couldn’t stop a 4th and forever with the lead in multiple games just to end up with a L. You can pick up a QB on the market for cheap and have a short term fix for what could happen to Wentz. There are plenty of QBs in next years draft to plan for the future.

Why would that be amazing? Following Brady is the worst job a guy could possibly get stuck with. I'd rather play for the Browns or Jets.
