Chances of that happening are slim to none. Eagles are going to ride out that cheap contract for as long as they can and Carson doesn’t have the personality type to force a negotiation.

He has the personality type where the Eagles will work on the contract extension after year 3 is completed, not after year 4.

Guessing Howie will extend him next spring to spread out the pain and I think Carson will give them a bit of a discount ala Tom Brady to keep a winning team around him.

Is it true these guys make vastly more off endorsements? I would much rather take a low hit against the salary cap in return for a strong oline and overall team.

Sell more bows and arrows and what not for much longer and have to start wearing rings on my toes.

I think this really comes down to what kind of season he has this year and whether he stays healthy, the latter of which he doesn’t have a solid history for. Ankle, wrist, ribs, knee in his last four seasons of play.

Football players don’t pull down a ton of endorsement money relative to salary. Per Forbes Brees had $13 million in endorsements last year, Eli $7 and Ryan $5. It’s a fraction, definately not vastly more.

Carson likely will be a candidate for growing endorsements if he truly establishes himself.

Thanks for looking- I was honestly asking and not bothering to google.

Either way I would consider taking The lower contract to keep some more talent around me.

Then again, I can only sling it about 20 yards inaccurately, with bad timing.

Easy to suggest what i would do in that spot though.
