The OL didn't get there in time to touch anybody and DGB still got almost 10 yards out of it by juking 2 LB's. This is one of the most frustrating things that I've seen out of Philly this year. Their WR's have talent but too many drops and bonehead decisions makes you question that talent. Also nothing against Ryan Mathews but if they would have kept DeMarco Murray I wonder how that would have changed things for this offense this year.
To your last point, Ryan Matthews is directly responsible for at least one loss this season. He fumbled late in a game that the Eagles were driving, I want to say it was against Detroit. Not that one game would mean a whole lot at this point but when things like that happen in early games, you never know how things will play out going forward. Butterfly effect.

Sure hope Philly can get a stud WR and RB for Carson in 2017.

Yes that was the Detroit game and first loss of the season. In fact they've had 6 games where they lost by 7 or fewer points. Games like those can come down to changing as little as one play and/or one suspension for a completely different outcome. The way the Eagles blocked on Thursday, Lane Johnson's suspension may have cost the Eagles a playoff spot.

I would imagine they should be able too. What Free agent WR wouldn't want to come to philly and play with CW?

The Eagles aren't that far away. Win 3 of those 6 games that were 7 points are less and they are 9-5 with a game to go. Just too many little team screw ups this year. Whether it's leading the NFL in drops or pre snap penalties or losing Lane Johnson and then having a 4th string RT.... teams not that far off.

Given the fact Carson went from being a 3rd string QB who was going to essentially redshirt to the starter within a matter of a week is one heck of a learning curve. Not only were his first year stats not too shabby for a rookie compared to other rookies (TD's to Picks)... you have to remember the entire team was learning a new system too. You have a West Coast offense with players from Chip Kellys offense. It's going to take some time to get the pieces in place for his system. They won 7 games last year and could match that with a rookie QB and players designed for a Chip Kelly offense.

They were running a new offense, true, but other teams got tape on them too. I'd assume that has contributed to them falling apart.

Actually, they weren't really driving....they had the lead with a couple of minutes to go and were just trying to burn clock and end the game. Minus the fumble they would have punted and the Lions would have had to go the length of the field.

Dez Bryant has made another quarterback look way better than he really is. Comes down with any ball near him especially TDs and long passes. He is a stud on the field and seems to have cleaned up his off field antics.
