I found this interesting as well:

    2014:
Goff was sacked 24 times losing 203 yards: Yards lost per sack: 8.46.
Wentz was sacked 20 times losing 118 yards: Yards lost per sack: 5.9.

    2015:
Goff was sacked 26 times losing 215 yards: Yards lost per sack: 8.27.
Wentz was sacked 8 times losing 49 yards (of course, missing games w, injury) Yards lost per sack: 6.12.

Again, Carson demonstrated a better ability to minimize damage when sacks occurred when compared to Goff.
My opinion is that Carson's wins this stats battle because he possesses superior characteristics such as: mobility, effort, and awareness.

Wonder what Gopher fans think now, now that Carson will be a top 2 pick....

All the experts in the comments agree Wentz can't read the field so I guess he must be right, and it wasn't just a poor throw with a guy in his face.

maybe if Kuhnert doesn't completely miss his block, that play happens differently as well

Goff doesn't seem long term to me.

Cal fans are saying the same thing about Carson.

Honestly, both these QB's IMHO are going to be very good and any organization is going to be in good hands with either of them.

I think that's a really poor presentation with statistical use. Goff played with an inferior oline in an all out passing attack in which alot of plays called for him to get the ball off before he was sacked. He was going to get hit regardless. He made some bad throws and decisions, but then again Carson didn't make every right read either. Goff threw the ball twice as much, and one could argue that Carson was surrounded by players that were pretty much better than the opponent every game.

I think stats are really poor comparison with these two, because Carson was pretty much set up in every way, shape or form, to win stats while Goff was pretty much set up to lose those stats from a personnel standpoint as well as scheme.
