Was riding in the subway (the tube) in London last week. I had a NDSU National Championship shirt on. I noticed a guy was staring at the shirt. He finally said he said he was a big fan of Carson Wentz. Turns out that he grew up in Philadelphia and was a fan of the Eagles. He said most Eagles fans were in full support of him and strongly believe that he is the long term solution at quarterback for Eagles.

Fantastic read. Also explains why he was never as good as Brock at the deep ball. Wonder if he relied too much on his God given ability at NDSU? (Which, for the record, turned out just fine!)

I had never seen this quote from Pete Carroll that the article referenced.

“He’s gonna be really good…Did you see the number of times he looked us off? He looked us off really well. He was looking off on the curl routes, he was moving linebackers — that’s fantastic stuff for a guy to do. He did it on the touchdown play; he did it on two or three other plays…That’s really advanced stuff. This is a guy who hasn’t played very much…He’s gonna be a great player. There’s no question. He’s got everything you need. He’s got great poise, he’s tough, he’s fast, he’s strong and he’s got some sense already, and he was changing plays and he handled the noise. He did a great job. That's some high praise from a guy who knows how to befuddle NFL QBs.

What the article failed to mention is the guy played one preseason game, got hurt, and then a week before the season started he started. That is the epitome of throwing him to the wolves. This year he has a season under his belt, a year to learn the offense better, a year to watch film, and of course now better weapons. And unlike last year he will get a full camp.

On top of that, the entire offense learned a new system last year.

BINGO! Well said! You think about that, and very few the national talk sports analyst or radio hosts ever say this. Even Dak Prescott knew he might be THE QB going into the season because of Romo's injury so he was practicing with the starters from summer camp and he was the guy to run the offense the entire preseason. Carson accepted being #3 in the depth charts and had to learn for the first year maybe then get his chance..... Great Thread!

Fly Eagles Fly, as they are sit to win now not in 3 years...... especially with the off season free agents they went after for Carson and the defensive side of the ball.

CJ Smith could be the diamond in the rough as well for special teams and defensive packages.....

Should be the most fun for us NDak former Viking fans now switching to green and black, it would sure be nice to get a Super Bowl ring as a fan after 50 years of waiting for the Vikings.

Dak.........was 3rd on depth chart all thru OTA, mini-june camp & opening 2-3 weeks of camp. Romo #1, Moore #2. Romo got hurt in Pre-season game vrs Seattle, Moore broke his leg.........so with 3 pre-season games to go Dak went from #3 to 1........crash course, with only the 10th rated Oline as Per PFF , rookie running back.........
